Second Announcement: Panini Press Call for Manuscripts

Panini Press, a newly-opened publishing house solely devoted to the betterment of the noble field of Linguistics, would like to remind linguists of all theoretical persuasions that there is no longer a need to stoop to the level of Cambridge or Benjamins when you have results to share with the world. No indeed! Our mission is nothing less than the transformation of Linguistics from the intellectual backwater that Blackwell and Lincom have made it, and restore it to its place of pride not only among the humanities, but in fact among all the branches of Philosophie.

Come forth, outstanding theorists among Linguists! Panini Press will provide your insightful treatises the intellectual forum they properly deserve; your work will appear in the company of great thoughts, not tainted by association with the popularized drivel that passes for “scholarship” in the catalogs of Oxford, Mouton, and the so-called publishing houses of MIT and California.

Our first, carefully selected installment of our upcoming Antimetabole Linguistics Enterprise, The Historicity of Texts and the Textuality of History, by the two noted scholars of historical sociopragmatic discourse analysis, Edgartina Olláphersen and Olafrinia Etkarzön, has, due to unforeseen contractual complexities, been delayed; it will be published in 2010.❦पा
